Behavior Analyst
Jacob's work sits at the intersection of behavior analysis, machine learning, and software engineering. He began his career in behavior analysis more than 15 years ago, gaining experience that ranges from one-on-one clinical work to leading teams of clinicians, before turning to data science and software engineering to build tools for practitioners.
He founded BehaviorChain LLC to bring both halves of that career together: hands-on, compassionate behavior consultation for families, caregivers, and organizations, alongside clinician-built software that serves the wider behavior-analytic community. The consultation work comes first, because it's where the science meets real life.
Jacob proudly collaborates with the Behavioral Data Science Research Lab, where his current projects leverage a dataset of more than 10,000 peer-reviewed publications to map trends, gaps, and citation networks across the behavior analytic literature. He also co-hosts the Behavioral Data Science Podcast.
Outside of work, he remains convinced the S.F. Giants will win the World Series every year, and can often be found at a game with his wife and young daughter.
